Never Give up on Life

Many of us look at life as work. We approach it and try to handle it like a job. We complain about it. We blame others when it is not working. We hold someone else responsible when it does not give us what we want.

Some of us give up on life. We move from day to day, with no plan, no goals and ultimately no rewards. We fail to understand that if life is work, the better we do it, the better it will pay us.

When we perform our tasks to the very best of our ability we receive just rewards for what we do.  When we are thorough in our work and put our best into it, we become better at it. When we become too good for where we are, we will be advanced to our rightful place.

The thing we must realize about life is; it can’t be better until we are better. We can’t get more until we are more.

The only thing that can stop our advancement in life is when we are not ready to move. If life is work, run it like a multimillion-dollar corporation and elect yourself chief executive officer.

Zen - Mantras

1. Zen mind is the beginners’ mind - to look at something with fresh eyes.
2. Hearing it over and over again allows us to go from where we should be to become who we are. 
3. The perfectly imperfect. 
4. The river flows; the mountain remains motionless – neither one can do what the other does. 
5. Perfection is accepting what’s happening now. 
6. Practice kindness it will bring you happiness. 
7. Become aware – Be completely involved with it while it is happening, and then leave it behind when it’s done.

9. Be watchful of those who only bring praise…they may say what isn’t true and you may start to believe and begin to act differently. 
10. Watch the grass grow…no matter how many walk on it or storms strike it. That too is your nature…no one can stop you from doing what’s yours to do. 
11. To escape fear…keep moving. 
12.  Live life with an open heart. Erase judgement. Live with compassion and practice understanding. Everyone is doing the best they can…if they knew better; they would do better – so be gentle. 

A Lesson on Teawork

This story is about four people, Everybody, Somebody, Anybody and Nobody.

There was an important job to be done and

Everybody was asked to do it.

Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it. 

Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did.

Somebody got angry about that, because it was Everybody’s job.

Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, and Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn’t do it.

It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody, when actually, Nobody blamed Anybody.

The job, of course, went undone.

3 Things Every Worker Should Know!!!!

If you're thinking of making a career move, now is the time. Companies nationwide are finding it challenging to fill vacant positions and devoting more resources to employee retention.

If you are planning to take advantage of the positive market today or at some point down the road, keep these three things in mind:

1. Your interests.
Give careful consideration to what you love most about your job before you pursue any changes.     
Also reflect on what you do in your free time.

2. Your strengths and weaknesses.
Conduct an honest assessment of your professional assets and any liabilities that could be standing in your way. Also ask colleagues and mentors for their candid feedback.

3. Your options.
Before handing in your resignation, be sure you have considered all of your options. There may be opportunities at your current firm that you are not aware of. You may have more leverage than you think in negotiating a new career path or higher compensation at your present firm.
